Michigan Fly Fishing School Location
The outdoor enthusiast will find everything needed in our little corner of the world; pristine lakes and rivers, large evergreen and deciduous forests, and diverse wildlife offer a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Northwest Michigan and Manistee county is internationally known as host to the Huron-Manistee National Forest, 1.3 million acres of outdoor playgrounds.
Our fly shop, lodges, and school facilities are located within minutes of the Manistee River and other great trout streams. The Manistee provides the ideal learning environment for both the novice and the advanced angler. Resident brown and rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, migratory steelhead and salmon lure anglers from around the world come to fish these waters with us.
Fly anglers aren’t the only people who fall in love with northern Michigan: hikers, bicyclists, canoeists and kayakers, hunters, bird-watchers, and sightseers find this area alluring. More information about this area's recreational resources can be found at the U.S Forest Service Huron-Manistee National Forest micro site.
