GPX Fly Line is a general presentation taper, weight forward / floating fly line. Scientific Anglers Mastery GPX fly lines are designed to be the best general purpose line available. Built with a fairly long front taper for smooth delivery and a larger tip diameter for high floatation, these lines handle a wide variety of fly sizes and wind conditions. GPX lines are an excellent choice to cover a wide range of angling situations.

Comparisons

TO MASTERY SERIES XPS: The GPX lines have longer heads and are noticeably more powerful for better performance with larger flies, on windy days, and at longer distances. XPS lines excel at spring creek conditions with small flies, light winds and short to medium distances.

TO MASTERY SERIES XXD (DISTANCE): The XXD lines have extra long heads allowing more line to be carried and controlled for fishing at extreme distances. GPX lines perform better than XXD lines at more average fishing distances because the heads are shorter and line can be shot more quickly.

TO ULTRA 3: The GPX lines are similar in function to Ultra 3 lines, but are built with individually tailored heads instead of Ultra 3 group tailored heads and are made slightly heavier than standard to better load high modulus graphite rods. GPX lines use a specially formulated coating to provide the ultimate in floatability.
