Schmidt Outfitters - The Best in Fly FIshing

Schmidt's Youth Fly Fishing School - Free

Many adults remember spending their summers fishing with their parents and grandparents. Fly fishing is a lifelong passion that can be passed down from generation to generation—the fresh air, the beautiful scenery, the thrill of landing a fish. Uncle Joe or Grandpa Sam taught the young ones how to tie flies, cast a line, and differentiate between the different kinds of fish. Outdoor activities were a must for children of past generations. With the popularity of television, video games, cell phones, and the internet, young people are no longer getting outside as much.

Schmidt Outfitters wants to bring kids back to the outdoors. A few years ago, we teamed up with a conservation group to host and instruct kids in the sport of fly fishing. This year we will do the same.

It costs nothing but a parent’s time to register and bring their child to our facility. Kids between the ages of 11 and 18 are invited, but we can make exceptions for children a bit younger or older.

Our children’s school is a one day, jam-packed, fun fly fishing school. The cost is free. Register your kids today as this is a popular school!
