Our guide service can control many aspects of the fishing trip: clean watercraft, expert knowledge of the rivers and fish, respectful attitudes, and the best gear obtainable. Two things that cannot be controlled, however, are fish bite and weather. Understand our guide philosophy before booking a trip.
Elk Body Hair
This is true premium elk hair soft tanned natural material. Many uses such as the famous elk hair caddis. Soft tanned and very clean.
Emu feathers make a very buggy addition for streamers, nymph legs, collars, hex flies, and stone flies.
Estaz materials used to wind like wet fly hackle. Very popular material for egg flies as well.
Great for low-light conditions. It glows!

Here at Schmidt Outfitters, we can control many aspects of your fishing trip including respectful guide service, quality streamside meals, clean and comfortable watercraft, the best gear we can obtain, knowledge of the rivers and fish in our region, and clean lodging. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather or the fish bite.
