Albright Knot

The Albright Knot is kind of a Nail Knot with no nail needed to tie it. Designed by the late Jimmy Albright, a pioneer in modern fly fishing techniques, the knot is most often used to tie backing to a fly line. It can be efficiently used anywhere two lines of different sizes need joining. Bulk is sometimes a problem, but this is often overlooked because of the knot's efficiency and ease of construction.
